Wayan Kresna Yasa is an award winning, Michelin-trained Balinese chef, restaurateur and author, who has built an international career while championing Indonesia’s culinary identity.

His work includes acclaimed concepts such as Kaum, Ijen and Tanaman for the Potato Head Family, and HOME by Chef Wayan in Canggu, Bali. Recognized by Tatler, Travel & Leisure Asia, Condé Nast Traveler and National Geographic, Chef Wayan continues to celebrate Indonesian ingredients through thoughtful, contemporary cuisine.

In 2022, Chef Wayan collaborated with writer Maya Kerthyasa to publish the groundbreaking book, PAON Real Balinese Cooking, to share the culture and wisdom of Balinese food with readers around the world.

They have two different menus for lunch and dinner, which I really like. The service was genuinely warm and welcoming — super friendly without trying too hard.
And the food? Damn.
The smoked bebek was something else. One bite and it literally took me somewhere else — smoky, deep, rich, and full of that Balinese character.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had.
Starters were prawn wontons, the hotdog (outstanding) and satay chicken; never had peanut sauce like it. Literally the best.
Mains we had duck bebek se’i and chicken soto ayam which came with sides. Portion size was huge and absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced and tasted like fine dining.
A must try!
